Regular Preterite Tense Forms
habl-ar → hablé, hablaste, habló, hablamos, hablasteis, hablaron
com-er → comí, comiste, comió, comimos, comisteis, comieron
viv-ir → viví, viviste, vivió, vivimos, vivisteis, vivieron

• Regular verbs ending in -car, -gar, -guar, and -zar have a spelling change in the first person singular to maintain the pronunciation of the stem according to Spanish consistent system:
buscar: busqué  •  llegar: llegué  •  averiguar: averigüé  •  empezar: empecé.
