Lab Instrumentation

The Shimadzu carbon analyzer provides TOC, DOC and TN data for water samples collected in Merrymeeting Bay. The Lachat analyzes water samples for Total Phosphorus, Orthophosphate, Silica, Nitrate+Nitrtite and Ammonia.

Field Instrumentation

The YSI Sonde is a multiparameter monitoring system that provides both continuous and discrete water samples in the field. Information such as temperature, salinity, ph, turbidity, dissolved oxygen and chlorophyll are collected from the side of a boat at various sites in the bay.
