Hmmm… Imagine a search engine shaping your path in life. Is that search engine biased? Can it overlook things? How do we respond to when we cannot find something on the Internet? Do search engines affect our ability to find answers to questions in ways other than typing words into Google? How is using a search engine different from using an encyclopedia, or asking a professor a question, or conducting a scientific experiment? What happens when knowledge gets cut off from the processes that create it?

Wow. That is a disturbing thought. And your questions make me realize how much I do rely on Google to get information, whether it is for traveling, job searching, and so on. I would be interested to know if students’ ability to look stuff up has greatly decreased in recent years.
