Goats's blogMeeting Update - February 20, 2007On Tuesday our group met in the photo studio and further discussed our project. Each member of the group continued to work on his or her assigned task and we brought in works in progress to share with each other and to try to work out any current problems. The map and paw print background of our poster by Annie is really coming along and looks great. The SketchUp rendering of the fountain also is coming along nicely. Evan did further research looking into average rainfall in Brunswick annually and calculated the estimated size of the fountain in comparison to rainfall and an estimatimation of how many dogs would visit the park daily. The color theme is being kept consistent as fun, lively, and eye-catching. Submitted by Goats on February 22, 2007 - 8:01pm.
Studio Time February 13, 2007During our meeting our group further solidified our final idea and delegated assignments to each member of the group. Evan is working with SketchPad and 3-D modelings as well as photoshop renderings of Davis Park including a few benches, picnic tables, and a water fountain able to be used by dogs. Annie is working on a map of Brunswick and focusing on some of the publicity acts we would use to advertise/encourage more attendance in the park. The map will involve paw prints leading from all directions into the park. Kate is working on a publicity poster advertising the park and the dog show, she intends on using paints and use a comical slogan/humor to attract the viewer. The overall theme of the park and our publicity is turning out to be more comical and circus like. Submitted by Goats on February 14, 2007 - 11:35pm.
Proposed Project: February 6, 2007Our team discussed a proposal today with promising potential. With dogs in the back of our minds, we've decided to create a Brunswick Dog Show in Davis Park "Brunswick Mutt Extravaganza" or something to the like. In the beginning stages we will conduct interviews and take photographs of current Brunswick dogs and their owners. Dog bios will be included in the presentation. We will also be looking at animal shelters around the area and post potential dogs to be adopted. Submitted by Goats on February 7, 2007 - 12:06am.
Ideas from Community Meeting: January 30, 2007Here are five main ideas discussed after the community meeting: 1. Dogs were mentioned on multiple occassions, some theme of dogs, dog parks, and conveniences for people and their pets should be taken into consideration. Include picnic tables or benches for people, and maybe BBQ pits for summer days. 2. Another concern was safety, talking included lighting and potential opening/closing of the park, or having it monitored somehow. Submitted by Goats on February 6, 2007 - 10:09pm.
